Doug Dhar awakens aboard a dying ship adrift at the edge of a star system in the Southern Cross. He is rescued by eight-foot-tall reptiles - all of whom are female - only to become a pawn in a vast feud between ancient enemies. He knows he has a mission, but long sleep has tattered his memory. His spaceship is impounded, and with it the clue to his purpose. As he seeks the help of these dangerous, beautiful creatures in discovering his destiny, a forbidden attraction stirs.
