I was trying to decide how to organize this book and finally decided to do it roughly by background, region, helpful info like a wine glossary and then “other stuff.”
So, rather than listing each wine, I’ve listed the regions which produce many different types of wine: Burgundy (France) or Chianti (Italy), although many of the regions overlap. For example, Chile produces pinot noirs and reisling. So, it can get confusing. That’s why I decided to go by region in that section.
I’ve also expanded the specifics a bit to give you an idea of which types of wines pair well with which foods, wine and your health and the basics like how to choose a good wine, what to look for to make sure you don’t pick up a “bad” (spoiled) wine, and how to store and pour wine. So, hopefully, I’ve touched base on all the important stuff.
Here are a few chapter titles for you:
A Few Winemaking Facts
That Wine is Bad!
Selecting A Fine Wine
Grading Wines – All Hype?
Storing Before Pouring
The Wines of Australia, Europe and the Americas
Pairing Wine and Food
Pairing Wine and Cheese
Wine Glossary
Ten Major Grape Varieties
