The Soul's Ascent

THESE Addresses, taken down as they were uttered, lack the perfecting and finish which attach to the written discourse; but perhaps they may have a freshness and directness which do not always emanate from the printed page.
They have passed through very careful revision, and contain, in a popular form, the essential points of my teaching.
The fact of their being delivered to various audiences, will account for one or two minor repetitions of metaphor or phrase.
