Ghost of a Chance

Cowboy detective and private investigator Buck McDivit inherits a fishing lodge from an unknown aunt. When he travels to a rustic village in east Texas, he learns she was murdered.
He also learns the fishing lodge and island it occupies is under foreclosure, his aunt's longtime employees black, and the racist judge controlling the legal action bent on owning the island for himself. The foreclosing banker is the father of a beautiful southern belle that captures Buck's ardor, and his desire.
