Hartecleft House

A young girl is executed for murder far from her native land. The Newburys move into a new house, and find that it is already occupied by a young barefoot woman who only appears at night. A strange elderly woman who lives alone seems to know something about the mysterious barefoot woman, but her messages are cryptic. Then the Wards move into town with some rather strange equipment, and an unknown agenda. Two women named Sofia, from Romania, born two hundred years apart appear to have some relationship with each other, with the Newburys, and with the Wards.
