A Minnesota Yankee

“A Minnesota Yankee” follows the plight of a 21st century Computer Science student from the University of Minnesota as he is trapped in the late 19th century. He realizes that his great-grandfather would be born in a few months in St. Paul and so he flees the city to prevent a paradox, finding a job in a small rural town in southwestern Minnesota. There he meets, courts, and marries a fellow schoolteacher, the beautiful Betsy. Using his resources, like the multimedia encyclopedia on his laptop and his camera phone, he builds an industrial empire just in time to help America in the fight against the Kaiser, using technology far in advance of anything that had ever existed before.
