Romola

An historical novel about a valliant Florentine woman in the 15th century who marries a hedonistic Greek. She eventually falls under the influence of Savanarola, an Italian reformist. The plague, vengeance, an inquisition, bigamy, torture and execution are all a part of this great saga.
