I can't tell you how many homeowners I've worked for, with similar complaints. If they would have only done that, then they wouldn't need to do this and that's how it usually works.

In other words, if you don't know what you're looking at or what you're looking for, there's a good chance that you're not going to find it. I created this house inspection checklist, to provide property owners with a few more clues.

When are you going to quit giving all of your hard earned money to contractors and learn a little more about your home and some of the problems that could end up costing you, a ton of money in the future. The only way that I could make it any easier for you would be to actually inspect your property, myself.

Obviously, that would defeat the purpose of the book and still cost a lot of money. If you don't have a lot of money to waste, you don't have a choice, you need to learn more about your home and property.

You've heard it before, but I'm going to tell you again, you can pay me now or you can pay me later. The only difference is you can pay a little now, but I guarantee that you're going to pay a lot later.

Don't Waste Anymore Of Your Money

Before we get started, I would like you to picture something in your mind. Picture the fifth contractor you contacted, arriving at your home, with their final estimate. You've already contacted four other contractors and can't believe their prices.

Someone in town recommended that you call this guy, because he's the cheapest contractor in the area. The lowest price from the other contractors is over $35,000. Your desperately hoping that this contractor has better news and a much lower price.

If you owned more than one home, you've probably been in this situation, at least once. You need to get the home repaired, before the damage gets any worse. To add to your frustration, you'll need to refinance the property, just to fix the damage.

You're not going to get anything extra, there's no new bathroom, kitchen or additional living room. All of the money that you're going to spend, will be to repair the home, not to add any value to it.

If you don't want to be in this position, you will need to improve your home inspection skills. If you don't know anything about construction, remodeling or home repairs, you could be the person waiting for the fifth estimate or even sixth one.
