In the early 1980's drugs came to the Fort Lauderdale with a vengeance. The drug industry was strong, the night life was fast, furious and out of control, corruption was running rampant, and the money it produced bought power and influence at all levels. Night clubs with champagne rooms were popping up everywhere.
Tinsel town, as it was being called, had quickly become a Mecca for the eligible men and women. All the young beautiful people were flocking into from, the big as well as the small, north eastern and Midwestern cities and towns. Fort Lauderdale was promising the single and the recently divorced a lifestyle like no other.
The ‘Price of Forgiveness’ is a story about one of those young recently divorced woman and mother who had become bored with her life on the farm in the small Midwestern town of Glenwood Indiana and went looking for her piece of fortune and fame.
Robin Wilson, an extremely attractive young lady in her late twenties, packed all her worldly possessions along with her six year old daughter Amy and boarded a 727 Eastern Airliner for Fort Lauderdale. With the help of her good friend Brit Powers, Robin got a job at the architectural firm of Stuart and Associates owned by a Jack Stuart.
Robin calculatingly gets sexually involved with her boss Jack. During their secret affair, she is not only introduced to the life of the rich and famous; she is also introduced to some of Jack’s wealthy business partners. Meeting them was only the beginning. Unbeknown to Jack, she searched each one out and secretly dated each one of them, while keeping her relationship with Jack intact.
Overwhelmed and spoiled by her new found prosperity, she became hardened, greedy and ruthless. Dating these wealthy married men was not enough; she approached each one of them for a long term commitment.
When it was not happening, she took another route ‘Blackmail’, her silence for cash. Robin’s blackmail scheme backfired.
The reader is taken through a series of coincidences, twists, turns of events and a kidnapping, and then left with an unpredictable ending.
