Report of the Demographic and Behavioral Sciences Branch (DBSB) Population Centers Review

This report summarizes the results of a comprehensive review of the Population Research Centers Program of the Demographic and Behavioral Sciences Branch, NICHD.

This mission translates into a research portfolio that includes a strong focus on the demographic processes of fertility, mortality and migration and at their broad interrelationships with larger biomedical, social, economic and cultural processes. Areas of supported research include fertility and family planning, HIV and sexually transmitted disease, family and household demography, mortality and health, and population composition, change, and movement.
