Glossary of Herbs Terminology

A herb is a plant that is added as flavor and particularly used as a medicine in Ayurvedic practice. They are also used for spiritual purposes.

Normally a herb plant is one whose stem does not produce woody, persistent tissue and generally dies back at the end of each growing season.
