Tales of The Peshtigo Putzer

This is not your average outdoor book. Normally, that type of book is limited to hunting and/or fishing. The Putzers do a lot more than hunt and fish. They bike, they canoe, they ski. They go birding. They can even bring the outdoors into their life when baking Christmas cookies or when purchasing a new hat. And yes, you will find that they hunt and fish a tad too. Some of the tales in this book have been published before as columns in Wishigan Outdoors, but not all. Those that have been previously published, have been “tweaked”—which means they have been modified to improve the writer’s original flaws, or updated to reflect current situations. The last chapters, “Beyond Wishigan,” are all new to Putzer prose. These tales take place, mostly, in Wisconsin; in a variety of locations and situations. They prove that a good putzer can ply his “trade” anywhere.
