Faith Unseen begins in front of an old oak tree in Sweden in 1909. Anna and Edward meet secretly and plan their life together. They have six daughters and Marie, my grandma, is the second to the youngest. At the tender age of eight, Marie loses her parents and begins to lose her eyesight. There are no relatives to take the girls so they are separated. Marie is sent to the school for the blind and is shuffled off to orphanages for summer breaks. Marie longs for a family to love and to love her. Every day becomes a fight for survival and a hunt for love and faith.

While in high school she meets Bob Anderson and they fall in love. Marie is thrilled to have her own family and to become a mother. Marie is set up for heart break again as Bob deserts her and the children. She is left pregnant with her fourth child, her daughter has a severe case of polio, the Welfare Department is threatening to take her children away and she is about to be evicted from the gas station, she and the kids call home. Marie prays to God for help, and help He sent.

Cedric Adams, a famous Minneapolis radio personality, hears Marie's story and enlists the help of his listeners. The people of the Midwest take Marie and her children under their wings and build her family The Heart Home, an amazing act of love and human compassion.

Marie not only survives, she thrives and that is what makes her story so inspiring. My prayer is that Faith Unseen will encourage you to begin your own heritage journey, but for now, take my hand and let me tell you about my grandma, Marie.....
