Nick Josephson, though extremely qualified to print counterfeit currency, will never do such a thing. The phone rings at the newspaper where Nick works, & a lady informs him that he must print counterfeit money. Nick refuses, but the lady says, “Don’t do anything foolish, Nick. Go home and see what we can do.”
Nick vomits when he gets home. Blaze, the family dog, is dead with his throat cut. The phone rings. Delores, his wife, is hysterical as she tells him she has been kidnapped. If he wants her back, he will have to print the money. Nick prints it, and the ordeal seems to be over, but the kidnappers send the printing plates to the police. Nick ends up in prison. WHY? During his many years of incarceration, Nick thinks only about vengeance. He must find a way out of his physical prison, and his prison of VENGEANCE DENIED.
