You will need:
1 quart peeled and sliced apples
1 cup water
½ cup sugar
1 tsp. lemon juice
cinnamon

Get ready to make applesauce!
Put apples, water, sugar and lemon juice in a sauce pan and cook until tender. It takes about 20 minutes.
Use a potato masher or an electric mixer to mash the mixture until it is smooth.
Put the applesauce in an airtight container and place in the refrigerator to cool.
Once cooled, top with a little cinnamon.
Enjoy a bowl of fresh applesauce.
