Thousands of years since the Chinese and American nuclear war, mankind has recovered. Many have enjoyed physical evolution granting them the power of fire, electricity or telepathy.

Others experienced malicious adaptations. They are called infected.

While heading the global government's project to quarantine the infected, sentry Bing-Tao learns horrible truths about the assassination of the planet's top government official (his adoptive mother), the government controlling the world and himself.

Bing-Tao struggles to save mankind from itself, while trying to reconcile his betrayal of the one woman he ever loved.
