This is a practical, insightful, and at times humorous exposition of the Ten Commandments that presents the idea that we cannot live successfully without assuming the Ten Commandments. There is only one morality, the Triune God's, and every "law" enacted by congress, a state, a city, or a church is either an application of God's law or an act of rebellion. There is no neutrality. We must not worship images, but what are these? Moreover, morality implies persons and propositional statements of truth. Our culture is fighting for a definition of marriage, which must be answered before we can pursue the commandment not to commit adultery. Then we must ask if there is a law above the government, and if so, who enforces it? The Eighth Commandment not to steal means that we have the right to own property. Moreover, I keep hearing that if we keep going like we are, the Triune God will judge us, but His judgment is all around us NOW, if we have eyes to see, such as our orientation to death, to sexual sins of all kinds, national judgments, religious judgments, and so forth. There is an appendix on worship of images and praying to saints, on the Incarnation, and on bowing in worship.
