Vampire Nation

A young American visits Communist Transylvania during the closing years of the Cold War, discovering that Communism is vampirism, and a man is better dead than undead. This dark fantasy/satire (of both Nicolae Ceausescu's Romania and of Communism itself) combines the insights of Ayn Rand with the black comedy of Kurt Vonnegut.
