Cockles and Mussels

There's an old Irish tune sang about Molly Malone, a fishmonger turned ghost who still wheels her wheelbarrow through streets wide and narrow crying "Cockles and Mussels, alive alive-o!" But who is Molly? What was her life like and who was a part of it? This story explores the folk song with keen attention to detail. Set in the historical Irish potato famine, we meet the characters in her life who meant the most to her, and who may have contributed to hear untimely death.
