Katrin O'Connor ekes out a lonely existence in Beaufort, North Carolina after her husband's death in a helicopter crash. Her resolve to stay grounded is put to the test when instructor pilot Mike Williams breezes into her life. Will she relinquish her fears of flight and commitment to stay with Mike?

Mike Williams moves from military base to military base, following his passion for flight. But the bachelor lifestyle loses its charm the moment he meets Katrin.
