A whilom is when moments are compared and contrasted with one another. Dwight Framton finds himself accidentally on the loosing side of a war he did not choose for himself. But, in order to save his own life, he finds himself irreversibly involved in.
In the same way that the Red Eyebrows grew from a street gang over a period of four thousand years to become the organised crime syndicate know as the Triads today:
A mild mannered young man (Dwight Framton) finds himself caught in the middle of two rival groups in his city.
As Dwight is pulled in deeper in to protect his own life from further threat, after being forced to defend himself or die leaving himself on a side whether he choose it or not: He discovers that the rival sets are being guided by the groups future organized crime leaders.
A discovery that carries Dwight into the middle of a very complex intertemporal war, in parts of which Dwight will find himself irreversibly tied to as a key survivor.
