We have come to this Convention with the two-fold object of having our spiritual life strengthened by asking the Lord to remove every wrong thing, and also to receive new power to work for our Master. Now this story of Joseph gives a blessed answer to the question, What is the secret of blessing and power? This is the answer, God with us. We want God more abidingly near to us, more consciously near us in the sufficiency of His power. We may go away forgetting all that has been said, if only God goes with us. (Mr. Murray here broke out in earnest prayer that God might reveal Himself to us that night, and make us con­scious that, notwithstanding all the blessing we may have enjoyed in the past, there is very much more for us yet.
