Saved by His blood

Saved by His blood is set in the near future. The protagonist, Nicolas, wakes to find his wife missing. He sets out on a perilous journey to find the answers he seeks, while being haunted by flashbacks of Desert Storm.

The antagonist, Scott, is a crooked cop on the run, hell bent on survival in the post rapture society. He gets the fight of his life when meets Nicolas who tries to befriend him.
