The Holy Bible - World English Version [Nook Optimized]

Work on the World English Bible began in 1997 and was also known as the American Standard Version 1997. This was created so that it does not use ancient, archaic language (such as the King James Version), and is not translated into Basic English (such as the Bible in Basic English). The World English Bible follows the American Standard Version's decision to transliterate the Tetragrammaton, but updates "Jehovah" to be "Yahweh".

There are always 7 passes of editing and proofreading of each book. This is checked against the Greek and Hebrew texts to ensure that it is accurate and that complex meanings are corrected.
