Something was very, very wrong at the Zoo. First, it was just a few animals acting strange. Next, the most tame, loving Alaskan Brown Bear ever to live in captivity broke free of its restraints during an examination and attacked its keepers. Soon, people were missing and no one could find where the bodies were taken. All that was found was a watch or a radio but no bodies. The police were stymied, the Zoo administration was trying to hide it, and the only suspect just disappeared after having horrendous nightmares.
The Zoo is a thriller set in a large Southern California zoo. The story’s personalities come from all different areas of the zoo: Keepers, Security, Administration, Merchandising, Event Planers, and Grounds Keepers. Mix them with two dedicated men from the local police, a homicide detective of Yugoslavian extraction and the overweight head of the Forensics Department, and you have a story filled with character, mystery, and unbridled fear. And then John Redfeather shows up with his dead grandmother and things really start to happen.
