The Life, Adventures and Piracies of the Famous Captain Singleton [Illustrated]

The story is one of the classics of Daniel Defoe. It tells about a life of Englishman, named Singleton, who was stolen by gypsies in his childhood and raised as a sailor. He starts adventures, crosses the African continent and becomes a pirate. Through Singleton, Defoe illustrates the main characteristics and nature of the pirates of his times, who were mostly behaving like mercantilist merchants.
