THE GODS OF PEGANA is the first book by Lord Dunsany. The work is a series of short fantasy stories linked by Dunsany's invented pantheon of deities who dwell in Pegana. A highly influential work, THE GODS OF PEGANA influenced a number of later fantasy writers, including J. R. R. Tolkien, H. P. Lovecraft, and Ursula Le Guin.
