Janie's Ever Changing World

Janie finds dealing with changes in her life difficult. When stumbling upon a new perspective she finds a pleasant surprise. The 1950’s setting may be far from the technical reality of children today, but basic childhood challenges bridge the distance between generations. Appealing to elementary students, is a sequel to “Welcome to Janie’s World.”


Screaming sirens of emergency vehicles pierced ears of those gathered at the bank of the swamp pond. Nervous neighbors held their breath and others silently prayed while all eyes watched the paramedics pull Johnny’s small frame from the water.
