A Revelation

Dwayne Redmond was born in Greenwood, a small town in Mississippi. Though he always enjoyed writing poetry, he never took it seriously until his oldest sister Thelma sent him an article about a poetry contest given by the National Library of Poetry. He entered, and his first poem, “May,” was published in the early 1990’s. He also had his own successful television show in 1994 called “Poetry in Motion,” which promoted poetry, anti-drug messages, and black history. After publishing four more poems, he decided to write his own book, which is a blessing to be able to publish. Dwayne is currently a police officer in Washington, DC.
