There are some very decent books on the life of Charles Lindbergh and particularly the kidnapping of his son. However, no one ever looked at the elephant in the room, the veritable mass psychosis that surrounded Lindbergh and the drooling lynch mob that gathered for the trial and execution of an innocent Bruno Richard Hauptmann.
