My Mother, a Farmer's wife, had many jobs to do on our Family Farm. She helped my
Father with chicken chores, barn chores, gardening fruits and vegetables for my four
brothers and sisters and me, lawn care…
I never realized until her elder years, just all my Mother accomplished! She crafted
patch work quilts, crocheted doilies, learned to knit and knitted sweaters and jackets for
all of us…canned her garden produce, and she collected…Recipes!
After she died, I was blessed with her enormous recipe collection! I don't remember her baking and cooking using this collection, but I treasure every recipe I inherited and
vowed to put them into a recipe book, in her honor, and naming it "Recipes Mama
Couldn't Toss". I hope you use the recipes included in this Book Number 1. I will be publishing more for Book Number 2 in the future, then Book Number 3…and so on until I have recorded all the good food that Mama prepared! Watch for them when you visit your Kindle Store.
