The economic concept of marginal (or additional) utility (or satisfaction) is used to justify the use of additional resources to solve the main tormenting development problems that many people face in their daily lives in Ghana. Solutions are based on economics, good governance, science, and technology.
Further, each chapter starts with a poetic reflection on the theme to add some philosophical flair to the otherwise quantitative realm of economics. Important economic concepts are used to clearly explain development problems / strategies and outcomes.
Chapters focus on problem areas such as: education, food poverty, housing, water, roads, health, energy, money and banking, libraries, the environment, business incubation, the rule of law, and leadership / governance (more so good programs of past governments that may be studied / reviewed or modified so as to implement those that are relevant in today’s information technology and increasingly global economy).
