Alive in different times, the murderer, PJ McAvoy, and family man, Aaron Molina, share a terrible childhood secret that, through a quirk of fate, saved one, but damned the other. The lives of five-year-old PJ, in 1920s Massachusetts, and present-day Aaron, intertwine when Aaron purchases an antique toolbox. Seemingly serendipitous events occur where Aaron inherits PJ’s estate, but to claim it, he must rebuild the ancient mansion. Once Aaron moves in with his wife and children, they’re trapped within PJ’s meticulous web of vengeance.
