Whether you have a question about relationship issues, invitation etiquette, or hygiene bets, send your questions to Dr. Mac for down-to earth suggestions. - By Cynthia MacGregor, EdD

You could spend thousands of dollars trying to hold off the march of time from leaving boot prints all over your face, neck and – well – everywhere. For the most part, you'd be wasting your money. Follow these few inexpensive steps and you will go far in making time take off those boots and put on slippers. - By Deborah Lovelace

In a balanced democratic society “freedom” and “rights” are balanced by “responsibility” and “sacrifices.” - By Deborah Lovelace
Opinion: Smart phones - rude people
Is your smart phone making you rude? Bleeping phones disturb movie-goers, disrupt meetings, and interrupt conversation and dining. Our rules of social etiquette may not be keeping up with the challenges of our modern phones. - By Cynthia MacGregor, EdD
Career Feature: Insecure bosses - Make them irrelevant or move on
Insecure leaders have existed since the beginning of humankind and have always been a problem for followers and the organizations where they are work. However, during bad economies like the current one, their insecurities fester until they become the monster in the workplace and a threat to your career. Learn how to make them irrelevant and make your career soar. - By Deborah Lovelace
Medical Feature: The least expensive generic drug, if it doesn’t work, is no bargain
Generic medications cost 30 to 70 percent less than the cost of the name-brand medications they replace in the United States (US), and are invaluable in helping to keep the cost of medical care affordable for most people with common chronic health conditions. However, generics do not always work as well as the name-brand drug they replace, particularly when treating seizures, some forms of heart disease, allergies and asthma and mental illnesses. When an inexpensive generic doesn’t do the job, then a $4 price tag can only add insult to injury. - By Deborah Lovelace
Media Feature: Turning off your mind and giving in to emotion is the goal of propaganda
Propaganda is rampant. Learn to recognize the various ways advertisers, politicians, and others try to simply influence to overtly manipulate you through propaganda so you can use the power of critical thinking to remain in the driver's seat. - By Deborah Lovelace
Fiction Short Story: So any questions
A first young love, lost through violence, creates many memories we wish we could forget, but that never leave us completely. They shape who we are and how we approach situations and people. Worst of all, sometimes the memories themselves get twisted and bent over time, and instead of being remembrances of good times and scenes of happiness, they collapse into a haunting list of questions with no answers and consequences unexpected. - By Annie B. Lloyd
It Happened to Me: Call me Frank – Recalling a near death experience
On August 26, 1987, I had a Near Death Experience (NDE) after an injection of contrast dye for a routine x-ray. It had a profound influence on my life. Here, I share my experience with you. - By Deborah Lovelace
