The title was developed to reflect the turbulent times experienced over the last few years and what these characters did in the book to cope with all their losses and problems. They grabbed each other when everyone was down and with love, compassion, integrity, they were able to pick each other up one by one. We all experience really tough, hard times in our lives, but what or who do we turn to when we need that support. Many of us turn to friends or family members for a shoulder to cry on and this book really expresses those emotional boundaries. After going through so much pain, the characters in the book just allow nature to take it's course and move on with their lives, but with the support of their close friends.
The book has so much drama, real-life experiences relatable to everyone, sex, drugs, fighting, deaths, and many more. But through this all, these friends were able to say forget about what is happening, our friendship still never failed --- WE WIN!
