Part of me wants you to go away
Assuming you never existed
Secrets sealed forever in my mind
To embrace you is to learn about myself

Participating in the struggle of everyday life
Racing through this crazy world without losing my mind
Eventually realizing the potential within myself
Searching for the reason why I’m here
Expanding mentally, physically, and spiritually
Never giving up the fight for me, within me
To embrace you is to be myself

Finally finding out what the struggle was about
Understanding the answer and knowing why I’m here
Telling myself that the trial is over
Using the knowledge to help others come to peace with who they are
Realizing that I was stronger than I thought I was
Embracing you is knowing myself
