Knightley

The year is 1760. Colonial Americans Garrett Knightley and James McAllister are captured and become impressed sailors aboard a Dutch brig. They become soldiers of fortune for a short time on the French side of the Seven Years War. Finding wealth, the Colonial Americans become ship owners trading throughout Europe, and the East and West Indies. They marry for love and their lives become intertwined with plantation life in the Shenandoah Valley and their trading life at sea. Their nemesis Nicolas Berryer the Master Jeweler contests their right to happiness with pirates, slavers, and renegades. American Indians contribute to the tumultuous times leading to the American Revolution involving the Colonial Americans into the local assembly and concerns for their future with the British Empire.
