Soaring Above Adversity

Bill Bugg and his wife, Billie Jean, planned a long retirement together after raising their children. Those plans were completely devastated when Billie Jean was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Bill was her care giver until she passed away in December 2003, 18 years after she began having memory problems. This book is Bill’s account of what he learned that will be helpful to others who are or may become a care giver.

Bill discusses what he had to do for Billie Jean and himself during the progression of Alzheimer’s, the help he received from spiritual recognition, keeping a positive attitude, and maintaining good physical and mental health. Bill also presents his knowledge gained in meeting the requirements for having certain legal documents, having certain insurance types and for obtaining needed finances.
