Unfinished Songs

Unfinished Songs came to life in 1982. I decided to write down my poems and write a book. Since I write my poems like lyrics to a song, it was to be called Unfinished Songs. I moved back to San Antonio and got a job that gave me time to write almost every day. Jobs changed and it gave me no time for the book. Unfinished Songs went dormant. When I wrote “Mother Earth Cries,” it sparked new life in Unfinished Songs. This is a great poem and it needs some exposure in this world. A lot of poems in Unfinished Songs are personal poems—poems I have written about what happened to me in my life. They are all in the book. I guess Unfinished Songs has a lot of my life in it.
