Shadow On Blue

As every good tale begins, once upon a time, this tale does also. Once and only once, upon a time, and at which time, it is far from known. The tale, as it is, begins in tall, barren tree, barren as a portly mans chicken wing. There, in this decrepit tree, at the tallest point, there lived a family of bluebirds, three hatchlings called this tree home.
