Janet Beech was born in London, England, blossomed for twelve years in Toronto, Canada, and now resides in Alta Loma, California where, close to her family, she enjoys a full, rich retirement.

Along with traveling, and her cherished hobby of writing, she facilitates a Writers' Workshop in Claremont, California, attends seminars, coordinates Writing Retreats, and volunteers, among other organizations, for the Prison Library Project at the Thoreau Book Store in Claremont.
