Rosa Luxemburg, was a Marxist of Polish Jewish descent. She published the Junius Pamphlet in Switzerland in April 1916, and it was secretly distributed in Germany. The text was also known as The Crisis in German Social Democracy , and it it was begun while she was in prison.
The Junius Pamphlet was adopted as the founding policy statement of the International Group, better known as the Spartacus League, which became one element of the Communist Party of Germany in January 1919.
