Vanity Fair

Like many novels of the time, "Vanity Fair" was originally published as a serial before being sold in book form; it was printed in 20 monthly parts between January 1846 and July 1848. Even before the last part of the serial was published, critics hailed the work as a literary treasure. The novel is now considered a classic.
