I slid the window open. "Hello?"

"Isabelle!" Sam cried. "My beautiful wildflower! Come down, so that I may be graced by your beauty!"

"Sam?" I said. "What are you doing here?"

"Sam?" he said. "Who is this Sam?"

"Stop yelling," I said. "Go home."

"I am home, lovely wildflower! Wherever you are, there shall my heart be also!"

I rolled my eyes. "My dad will probably shoot you if you wake him up."

"Then let him draw his bow and strike an arrow through my heart, for it is useless to me unless you accept it, with love!"
