This is one of several Articles that Paul Romaine has written on Celebrity Singers and Songwriters.
There are no negative comments about the artists that he writes about. The articles contain interesting information about the individual and Paul always tries to insert positive traits about the artist that are meritorious.
Kellie Pickler has come a long way since being a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol. With songwriter awards for "Red High Heels," Songwriter and Breakthrough Video for "I Wonder," and Songwriter for "Best Days of Your Life" she's a singer whose star is rising.
She talks honestly about her parents by letting us know that her father was a drug addict and alcoholic and her mother's writing bad checks and forged prescriptions for drugs.
On a more positive note she tells of her love for her grandparents who got custody of her and brought her up. She wrote a song about her relationship with her grandmother called "My Angel." It is without a doubt one of my personal favorites.
She has a heart of gold in that she forgives her mother even though Kellie was not treated well by her and does much work for our military doing shows overseas for the USO.
One cannot help but be enriched by this dear lady who is refreshingly honest and caring.
