Maggie's Rock

Discovered by accident, named by serendipity, Maggie's Rock was the first, and so far only, Earth-like planet found as Humanity began the exploration of the galaxy. Josh Fletcher applied for a position there on a whim, or more fairly put, out of desperation. A horticulturist, he wanted only to be left alone to do his job and revel in the wildness of the planet he grew to love, but despite his best efforts, he managed to be near the center of events as Maggie's lurched erratically, improbably and unintentionally from research outpost to far-flung settlement.
