KALAF.
The Gods be thanked, at last by patient seeking,
I've found a lodging in this crowded Peking.
(Enter BARAK, in Persian costume; sees KALAF and starts, surprised.)
BARAK.
Prince Kalaf? 'tis not possible. He's dead!
