Conscience -What's Going On With Sam?

Sam and Joanne are friends and have been for nearly all of their lives. Each possesses characteristics, both physical and intellectual the other lacks and at times is envious of. Sam recently began experiencing strange visceral sensations which seem to be coincidentally, or not, tied to the actions of others, both good and bad. At first these feelings are dismissed by Joanne but as the frequency and accuracy of Sam’s “senses” increase, the logical data driven Joanne begins to consider the possibility her friend has a special talent. A strange and exciting transfer student who keeps his life a mystery captures the heart of Joanne despite Sam’s suggestion there is something more to the young man. Sam’s concerns about Joanne’s love interest and her insistence her “senses” are real drive a wedge between the two girls. Realizing each is better with the other in her life especially when dealing with “senses”, situations and peers allow the girls to face adolescent life as they struggle to understand Sam’s newfound ability to read another’s “Conscience”.
