Habitat Suitability Index Models: Creek Chub

The creek chub is a widely-distributed cyprinid ranging from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Coast and from the Gulf of Mexico to southern Manitoba and Quebec. Within its range, it is one of the most characteristic and common fishes of small, clear streams.

The model provided is assumed to be applicable to any riverine environment within the range of creek chubs. The standard of comparison for each individual variable suitability index is the optimum value of the variable that occurs anywhere within this range.
