Originally titled "Tess of the D'Urbervilles: A Pure Woman Faithfully Presented," this novel was originally published in 1891 by Thomas Hardy. Controversial due to its treatment of sexuality, it is the tragic story of a young woman who is exploited by a rich man and falls in love with another. This edition contains 15 illustrations.
